What about a 6.5 Chevrolet diesel?

I know a Cummins and Power stroke,and Duramax are mean machines but for a workin man like myself are the later 6.5 diesels by Chevrolet an allright choice?I got a 97 1 ton last week and it runs good and seems to get good mileage so far.On my budget thats all I could buy for the price.I was wondering how some of you people have fared with them.Mine has a five speed and straight exaust right out of the turbo and a K&N air filter and it moves right on down the road pretty good.Thanks fellas.
