We have a '94 gmc 2500 4x4 with the 6.5 on the farm. Works pretty good, just had to replace something or another regarding the oil pressure, and had to put a new waste dump valve or something like that on it(I ain't sure exactly, I was away at school when they did it). Other than that, no problems so far. We have had it about 2 years, and tow alot with it. it's got about 110,000 miles on it, we've put about 20,000 on it. I hear the injector pumps on these are the problem area, some worse than others. Hope this doesn't happen to me or you, I hear it is about $1500 a pop to have repaired.
