My sisters signicicant other is interested in looking at a D17 for sale near us. Besides normal things to look for what is this tractors specific weak areas ? I am not familiar with Allis tractors at all. This one has a loader and homemade cab. Gas. I didn't know he was interested in buying a tractor. They just bought a house on about 2 acres. She said he wants the tractor to clear some brush where he wants to put up a shop and for moving stuff around. I tried to explain to her they would be better off renting the right equipment for the job but it sounds like he's really stuck on buying a tractor. So what issues with this model so I can try to help him out a little.
