I am not sure I agree. It's not a size thing, it's a process thing. I think a lot of farmers just sit back and wait for change to happen, and deny it's "us" causing the problems, instead of working on a solution. I remember here in upstate NY seeing our field runoff in a heavy rain....it didn't happen very oftern, but when it does, the plume of manure rich water is carried down a series of streams and rivers, and has caused serious enviromental damage. Because I am a fly fisherman, I notice. And so does that industry, who is lobbying for change. Their solution is that $80,000 system. Have you or your industry proposed anything different?

Not quite. Study up on the enviromental hazards of manure....it's real.

I think that's the kind of approach that is getting farmers in trouble. They all stand out and praise the government when there are subsidies, but they all belong to an organization like the American Farm Bureau, that sold the small farmers out years ago. It's the "there is nothing I can do", "it's us against them" mentallity that will doom the American Farmer.

Paul....this was not meant to be an attack, more like a pep talk. I hope you take it that way.
