Jerry B , I never said that I didn't own a dodge truck. I've owned 3 of them. One was a 1969 , and the other two were 1983. I can tell you that they did not even come close to being the truck that my chevys , fords , and one international were. When Dodge came out with the new body style , I considered buying one. I'm glad I didn't , due to mainly transmission trouble. Like I said in my post , Dodge doesn't know how to build a good transmission. Many plastic parts. They heat up , warp , strip out gears , and your done. That saying comes from one of the best machanics in the area. A lot of people in my area have had troubles with the Dodge truck transmissions. Must be they can not take climbing the hills around here. Most of them put transmission coolers on there trucks. That seems to help.
