My Daughter and son in law are having a prefab house installed on a lot near me. It is real close to my work area. I have been watching the progress. The house was brought in, in three pieces, and positioned with a remote controlled tractor. Anyway the garage is separate from the house. I took a walk this morning to see the progress. I knew there should a toilet in the garage. The rebar was being put in. I mentioned to the guy working there. I don't see plumbing for the toilet. He thought, that old codger doesn't know what he is talking about. I mentioned to my son in law this afternoon when he arrived, that I didn't see any toilet plumbing. The big cement trucks arrived about that time along with the pumper. This evening the pumper is still there. Only 1/2 of the cement is poured. Now the blame game starts. I tried to tell the guy. Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
