Tuesday a five year old heavy cow had a vaginal prolapse. She was fat and had excellent pasture with some white acorns and persimmons around the edge of pasture. Today. Yesterday I penned her up and set my squeeze chute. Got help to fix the tissue back inn but this morning she looked normal. I would have thought she had aborted but she had no udder. I assume with her being full of grass, persimmons, and acorns, she was o full inside she pushed her internal parts out and needed her bowels empty and relaxed to get the parts back in. I turned her back out as she looked in good shape and I anticipate a calf in about 4 -6 weeks. Cattlemen, Is my assumption have any merit?
