How is pasture rent figured in your area? Around here, western South Dakota, it is agreed almost always on a certain dollar amount per pair (cow/calf) per month. For instance, you might bring your cow/calf pair for $30/month. I saw a couple ads in The High Plains Journal where people were looking for pasture. One ad was looking for pasture for pairs and was paying $200 and another was paying $250+. Just was wondering if that was for the entire summer or for a month or what it was. I have heard of people paying as high as $100/month/pair for summer pasture.
