I realize this is not tractor related, but you guys seem to have the answers here. Hay in northern CO is getting tough this year. I am looking at having a load brought in from Idaho on a semi. Carrier has a step deck. I don"t know what a step deck is and am wondering what it can carry. I am waiting on the carrier to get back with me. I am looking at two string small bales. Think he can get 600 bales or more on it? I am wiling to take all he can carry and have a 2nd one brought in just to sell. Local hay is going for $15 for small bales and is killing the small hobby farms and 4H/FFA. I can get the hay for $8 and if I can get it on my place for $2 to $2.50 for trucking I can keep my animals and help keep the local 4H/FFA kids going too. What do you think?
