my uncle and my aunt who is my moms twin sister ,live in a nursing home in PA, My wife and I went to see them two weeks ago. He had cancer,my aunt can hardly see. We had a nice visit with them, during the visit, uncle Horace asked me if I had any magazines about tractors and or farming. I said I will bring you some, next time I come visit. I didnt think much about it,because uncle Horace was never a farmer.or tractor man. I did put some magazines in the truck, and I didnt get back for one week,I was tired and dirty when I drove past the exit to the nursing home, last monday uncle Horace called to say my aunt broke her leg and was in rehab. My wife answerd the phone,he gave her the bad news, then asked for me. He said I thought you were going to bring me the magazines? I said I will be there thursday for sure. He said good, see you thursday, I oollected up a few recent Lancaster newspapers,a tractor magazine, and a bunch of backwoods magazines, and took them thursday, still didnt understand his wanting them, I went in his room,he was doing his breathing mask treatment, but was very alert, I talked with him quite a while ,then said I brought your magazines,He said oh,thanks, they are for my friend Ben,he had to sell his farm, and misses it,I know he will like reading those, so I went out in the lunchroom, asked for Ben and he came into my uncles room, Uncle Horace pointed to the magazines and papers,Ben grabbed the Lancaster farm newspaper and said I used to get this! I like reading what auctions are going on. Then he opened the tractor magazine and said theres a Farmall! I asked him what kind of tractors he had,he told me he started out with an H,told me how they were a great tractor, and farmers worked the heck out of them until the bigger tractors like the M came out, Then he told me about a kit he put on the H to raise the horsepower,he said what a difference it made,I couldnt make it to the top of one of my hills in high gear,he said with the kit it went right up ,Ben talked with us quite a while. When I left ,uncle Horace took off his breathing mask and said thanks a million. ,,,,,,,,, I just got a call from my cousin ,,,,,,,,, Uncle Horace passed away last night
