Don't know about the skf from the states, but the plant where I live makes a part, someone else makes a part, and another makes a part (components) all send those components to china for assembly and SKF gets a bearing assembly back from china to sell to joeblow as a made in germany assembly...
The only important refridgerator you are effecting by buying the 90 or the 250 buck part is your own... that savings will make a big dent in tire prices also......
