I had a single phase WEG motor on my sawbench which I used with a 8kva generator through a 10 amp extension lead. worked well. During the big wet idiot didn't shift it,got saturated, and the motor burnt out later. I replaced it with another WEG because the first one was good. This new motor is blowing 15 amp fuses when I connect it to the generator although it works when I attached to the outlet in the garage. I must use the Generator because I take the bench up the paddock to the wood.
The only diference I can see on the plates is the figures on the new motor under A is 12.5 and 6.25 and cos 0.89. Your viewsplease, is the generator at fault.? Thanks in advance.
