Thanks for all of the great tips. Just a couple of followups which might help to isolate the problem: - the tractor has dual hydraulics, and seem to work fine - I've used them with a cultivator and there doesn't seem to be any problem with the hydraulics - the 3PH also lifts and lowers without any problems - the dual power system seems to work fine, although I have never tried putting it into high with the PTO engaged, so I could try that. Would any of this information change your diagnosis? One other thing - the screw on hydraulic filter looks like it is the same one that came with the tractor (it is blue like the tractor and looks like it's paint has faded just as much as the tractor). If there is a 20 year old filter on there, I imagine that could buggar up the hyd. pumps somewhat? She's a great tractor and runs great with lots of power - I'd like to hang onto it. Also, not much demand for small Fords in our neck of the woods even if I did want to sell it - mainly larger (100HP+) JD, MF and Case tractors. So, I don't know if I could get $10K Canadian let alone US around here if I sold it. Thanks again! Grant

Elliott said while this
