I recently purchased a 310b case backhoe, which does not charge. I have installed a new generator and battery. I have used the trouble shooting tips/instructions recently published on this site and BobM's wiring diagrams, but still no luck. When I turn the ignition key on it shows + "Charge"?? When the tractor is running, I get NO charging. The first thing I did was to polarize the generator. I have also jumped the terminals as suggested to check out the regulator, but still NO charge. The ammeter shows "hot" on both post. I checked out the generator by grounding it and got it to run. I should mention it is a 12 volt systen with a neg. ground. I have searched the other site but haven't had any luck there. I would appreciate suggestions you folks might have.
