Farmall Cub missing

I have a farmall cub. I have had it gone through within the last year and the working parts are good...and it runs..but..it only hits on 2 or 3 maybe 2 and then maybe 4 cylinders...and maybe not..I dont even know where to begin. The only thing I am sure of is that I have compression...i guess the fire and gas would be next...any suggestions.
