parts book shows only one drive so yours should work.remove the nut holding the cable. then remove thehousing which holds the gear assembly in.with the housing out remove the assy gently.should be a broken shaft on the pencil gear.willprobably need a pair of needle nose pliers.i would count the teeth on both gears and measure the shaft diameter.while you hve that out i would recommend putting some grease on the tach cable andtrying to spin to make sure it turns freely and that the tack works.good luck
