Is there a trick to removing the housing? Don't see what's holding it in place. Once I've removed the housing, is there anything I need to be careful of? You say I should notice a broken shaft and should be able to fish out with needle nose. It can't fall further can it?

My cable was twisted off near where it screws into the drive. Haven't checked the tach itself. If the cable turns the needle, am I ok?
