OT sort of.. truck carb problem

Where better to go then here?? Having problems with the carb on my beater truck.
1975 F250 V8
This thing has a 2 barrel carb on it.
Starts ok and runs a little rough. Then after about 5 min or so it acts like its starved for gas. I changed the filter and checked the pump. I restarted it and it ran ok for about 5 or 10 min just idleing.
I figured must be ok and was going to put some seaFoam in the tank and be done with it. She started sputtering and getting ready to die. I looked at the carb and gas was coming out every where except the jets. I assume the float is sticking.. I pulled the cover and it looks ok to me. But what do I know?
