I have a 5488 mechanical front tractor and the front end will not pull anymore. The front drive shaft still turns and there is no grinding sounds. I'm thinking the front end clutch is bad. Anybody run into this problem? I talked to a guy who said He worked at Case IH for awhile and he told me that you had to split the tractor to change the front end clutch. That doesn't make since to me because the drive shaft still turns to the front end. Does anybody know if the Front end clutch is before or after the front drive line? And do you have to split the tractor to change it? Thanks, Dan
