I have a 5088 fwa, it stopped pulling and it turned out to be the driveline coupler was stripped. IH mechanic said it was meant to strip when overloaded (like a shear bolt). Hard to see unless you unhook the front drive and check, but well worth it compared to the cost of splitting the tractor.
