Hi Farmallonians. I am new to this forum. My brother and I have two Farmall 300's, one a row crop and the other a Utility. The utility needs new axel bearings in the rear end. I have a couple of questions and any advise would be appreciated. Per the shop manual, it is necessary to remove the plate on top of the differential housing (under the seat) to remove the axels and replace the bearings. I have also heard that it can be done through the pto assembly. Is this true? Which is the best way to go? Also, the bearings at the local IH/Case dealer are $85.00 each (85 X 4 = $340.00 whew!) Anyone have bearing numbers that could be cross referenced at a bearing supplier? Thanks for any assistance. Jim
