You can do it through the PTO drain the oil out and pull the pto take cap off end of axel then take one cap screw loose on in side of bull gear and put a spacer between that cap screw and the other cap screw of the other axel and as you screw the first cap screw out it will push that axel out then loosen the other cap screw and put spacer between that srew and the first bull gear take cap loose on end of the axel and as you back that cap screw out it will push the axel out. you have to move the bull gears back a little and to the other side to get at inside bearing or remove axel housing . if axel housing gasket is not leaking I would do it from pto. once you get the bearing out and get part number a good bearing supplier should be able to save you money. I did steering on my B and got everything from Motion Industries even seals. hop this helps
