I have an H with 0.002 US connecting rod bearings. First question: Does 0.002 US mean the diameter is decreased 0.002" from a standard bearing, or is it 0.004"? I put in new 0.002" US bearings and used a plastigauge. It squished to just shy of the 0.003" measurement (meaning greater than 0.003" clearance). I went to the next size gauge, 0.004" - 0.009", and it read 0.007". Do I take this as gospel? If so, what can I do about it? This tractor is just for show and driving around, and the most work it will see is using the belt pulley for about 15 minutes a year or plowing a 100' x 200' plot with a one bottom plow. Thanks in advance.
