I sure don't understand this at all. Today I un hooked the air cleaner from the carb and sprayed ether into the carb, had the throttle wide open and the vapor on, the thing took right off, Runs pretty smooth sounds good, I drove it around the yard and when the temp reached about 160 the front freezplug on the middle block let go. The old one was leaking and I found some dish type new ones. The seating area for them are badly rusted. I used high tack and then went over the outside of them with JB Weld. I sure hate to have to ruin a head gasket an tear it all down but how else can I fix this? Can I get anthing to glue it back on top of the paint?? I have read about putting a wedge in there to hold them. I am for doing things right so I guess I will have to get after it. Worst thing is I have to buy a new gasket set unless I can find individuals.
