What Clint says will work. If you don't weld the screwdriver to the plug (use something real sticky, like a heavy grease. Put some fresh sealer on the edge of the plug) you don't have to leave them in provided you was able to dimple the plug enough. I used a special tool I made for this. After you get it in and crushed as best you can. Take a square nut the right thickness and drive it in place at the center of the plug for added holding power. No one will ever see it.
If you do take the head off. You said you used Copper Coat (that is the best). Wash the gasket off with solvent, dry. Spray Copper coat (allways use the spray, the dobber in the can doesn.t stay mixed and doesen't apply as even.) Coat the gasket. let dry over night, put on a second coat, let dry for a few hours, spray coat again and let get tacky. Put it on and torque the head. You should be fine
