Hi Ronald, The return spring can be replaced through the inspection cover it is difficult to do it you will need a pair of long nose pliers to stretch the spring into the release bearing carrier. This is not the answer to the problem. If the main plate will not release you need to check first for any presence of oil contamination around the clutch cover. Secondly, have an assistant to operate the clutch and check the operation of the linkage. Check that you have the correct adjustment for the pedal free movement and pto plate adjuster clearance.
