The newer choppers with shearbars and cutterdrums actually don"t make good chippers. The conversions done here have all been old big-knife flywheel-type cutters like my Papec 151D or the JD #8 and #12. My Papec was bound to either be converted into a chipper or scrapped outright but I decided it was just in too good of shape for that so I bid on it and got it and some parts for $12, and it will continue to do what it was designed to do, chop corn to fill a silo.
