Since you're in southern Maine I'll add that Northeast Ford in Gloucester, MA. was (maybe still is) a dealer (maybe distributor) of Ford industrial engines going back lots of years. An awful lot of Ford diesels were used after marine conversion is lobster boats etc. in the northeast and Canada. Often the ones I saw were the Dorset 380 CI. models but some were 4 cyl also as well as the earlier Dagenham engines. I'd suggest you put a wanted ad or two into Uncle Henrys (surely you know that weekly advertiser, I miss it here in Delaware). It can be viewed on the web but contact info is limited to subscribers. Also, Nissan Bakery had some step vans years ago with 4 cyl Dorset engines, I have one of those here in the yard. Then if all else fails you can go to any industrial diesel engine with equal or greater performance curves, just be sure the bellhousing is the needed sae bolt circle if your set-up uses the bellhousing. Hope all this helps. Bill
