Picked up a 67 ford 5000 8 speed diesel earlier this year and just getting around to working on it. Purchased at an estate sale was told the clutch was out. So before just jumping in thought I’d get some opinions. From what I can tell it’s a mechanical clutch. I can put it in gear no grinding without depressing the clutch pedal. That seems wrong to me unless it disengaged. Is it possible its just stuck? Any thoughts. Another odd thing is the 3 pt. It won’t go down with the control lever down. Put a ton of weight on it but wouldn’t budge. Then after just sitting it went down, but as soon as you start the engine arms came back up even thought control lever was down any thoughts on that.
