My '53 NAA rear center housing has been cracked and repaired. I'm performing a bit of a restoration on the tractor now and am considering replacing the housing. I already have a replacement housing which appears to be in good condition, but I want to make sure it is the proper one for both function and restoration accuracy. My parts book lists the housing part number as "NAA4025C". Both of the housings I have appear to read "NAA4024C". Does this make sense? Also, I'd like to know what the other numbers mean. Searching the archives revealed that they are probably date codes, but I haven't found a complete answer. On the left side, the old housing reads "2SH F30" above the part number. Forward of this, by the flange that bolts to the transmission, there is a sideways "2". The new housing reads "1SH H26" and "1" in these respective positions. On the right side, the old housing has a sideways "2" above a sideways "1" near the transmission. The new housing just has a sideways "1". Any advice or direction would be helpful. Frank
