Thanks for the responses. Defintely a Loboy frame so the at least the bolsters are from a cub. Looked like engine oil. Makes more sense if it were xmission fuid as the front was tilted down. It was honey color and appeared to have engine oiil viscosity. Can the engine and transmission seals be changed while the throwout bearing is replaced? (ie does it make sense to split and replace all those things? Guy wanted $2200 and is now down to $1800. Mainly looking for a mower here and I might be able to get a 140 & mower in great shape for about $2500 that doesn't need all the fixing. I don't know.
