Maybe I misunderstood your post. You state Bobcat hydraulic fluid and then you are referring to motor oils. Yes, Bobcat manual does state that 10W30 motor oil can be used in the hydro system in an emergency, but I would not recommend it unless you were in a pickle with a busted line on a Sunday or something. I changed the fluids in mine this summer and found the Bobcat hydraulic fluid to be very reasonably priced at the dealer; cheaper than a Shell or Mobil product at NAPA. That is for the hydraulic system and the chain bath reservoirs. For motor oil, I use Rotella or DELO 15W40. The dealer told me that is what they use... in the motor. This is only my opinion; I do not have near the experience most of these people have with these machines. Thanks, David in SC
