Stuart, My manual (763 operation and maintenance manual #6900371 printed 8/98 revised 8/00) states on page 99 that the hydraulic system uses Bobcat Fluid part number 6563328. It then states that 10W30/40 SE can be used. Then, on page 73 of same manual, in the Final Drive Transmission (Chaincase) section, it states that this system uses the same type of oil as the hydraulic/hydrostatic sytem. See Page 99. Now, I am really confused because when I bought my Bobcat I bought what the dealer sold me as the correct fluid. Bobcat hydraulic/hydrostatic transmission fluid, part # 6722344. I have not yet changed the chaincase fluid, but I did put it in the hydro system and I feel it is the right stuff. Even though the numbers do not match, I believe, from reading the manual, that it is the right stuff to use in the chaincase. Do I really feel that way. No way, I run a maintenance department and we do not use hydraulic oils normally to lubricate roller chain. Please chime in and correct me if I am wrong. I sure do not want to give wrong information to anyone. Thanks for your information. David in SC
