Thanks for the replies. Yes, i mistyped, it is an HD5, I should have taken a pic of this assembly before i posted this. The way the clutch seems to be sitting in there, it looks like just both sides are flat machined surfaces. Are the flange cuts in the center of the assembly? That would appear to be the only place it could be since i can see the machined surface on that outer ring area.
Just so i am following along then, the assemblies on either side of the clutch housing should move slightly away from the clutch? Sorry for making this sound so elementary, i just would have thought the service manual would have included a little blurb about something like that, unless under normal circumstances they would tend to slide apart much easier haha
this little beast is awesome and i am glad i picked it up though, dozers and crawlers arent my norm, but there really isnt much to one of these, lots of fun.
