Hi I'm looking at a little DB2G with the pyramid cleats. It seems to run well. The engine had some work done on it - top end all redone. The rollers, and idlers, pins and bushings seem good, but the drive sprokets are probably original - they are worn but have about 3/16s flat on top.
I am confused about a couple things. There is a hydrolic filler and dipstick by the break / clutch peddles. This is for the transmition - all looks well here - clean and to the right level - 10w oil??? He said there was a 5 disk clutch here also - is it wet or dry? There is a hydraulic reservoir onder the right armrest area with the blade controls. This is for theblade controls - 46W hydrolic oil? Under the seat is another short dipstick and a breather cap in a Y tube. This goes to the rear end - is it a differential that runs the final drives? Is this area connected to the front reservoir?The dip stick here was dry but was a bit rusty.
Opperationally is seems pretty tight - and I've run some loose machines. It pushes well for the light weight - and I was in mucky slopp.
Its a 1993 he said. He rewired the lights and gages, but no hr meter. Hoses have been replaced, both steering breaks(or whtever they are) worked well- no sticking or jerking. When moving forward or backward the main brake will stop the machine evenly. Transmition seem to shift smooth. No obvious leaks.
My only real concearn is the dry rusty rear dipstick. I would really like to run it for an hour befor I buy it - to see how it is when hot...
He is asking $10000 - which may be a bit high?
