I have seen many posts on RPS34 trans. shifting problems. The first thing you should do is drain and replace the trans. fluid. On 7 through 1070s change both hyd. filters. The cast bottoms on the filter cans on them can be difficult to remove. Some times requiring a tourch or heavy hammering around the threaded area of the filter housing. Many owners have screwed the bottoms off the filter cans and never noticed the cold oil relief cartrige that fell into the drain pail. They installed a new filter without it and the new filter did nothing, thus allowing contaminents to flow through the entire PS system. If you are lucky, an oil and filter change will cure your problem. If your not, you will have to remove the pilot spools, and clean them as previously mentioned. Continued operation will cause clutch damage in the RPS34 clutch packs and a complete overhaul will be needed.
