1938 Allis Chalmers B alot of questions

Did a 1938 allis chalmers "B" have a generator?
If so were was it mounted at. Also were these tractors originally 6 volt? Did they have a coil or a mag? Also did the 38 b's have electric start?
I have the chance to buy one. It has electric start but now generator. Maybe someone can tell me if that is original equipment.
If i buy it i would like to put it back to original condition with the help and advice of the people using this board.
