I bought an 05 Escape with a V-6 and 4wheel drive in 2009. It had 39000 miles then and has 51000 now. I really like it, mileage on highway is 25 to 27 mpg. It is small and easy to get around town and park, yet it's roomy in the interior. It would not be a pickup replacement for towing, but for normal getting from here to there, it's great.
