We have an '03 Escape. Pretty good little CAR! It is NOT a truck. Design is based on the Tauris platform I am told. It does haul and tow pretty well for a small vechicle. V-6 get's in the high teens around town. Never have had it out on long trips except when we were towing a small teardrop trailer. Which it did like a champ. That all said if I were to buy something to replace it I would look at another Excape but I would drive other rigs as well.
