JD 430/530 were JD first really good rd balers. They are getting old as there were built in the early 80's. JD rd baler design has changed but very little up through the 458/568 models. 530's only have a single tie arm which in my opinion puts twine on the bale more even than twin twine arms but a lot slower. Older JD rd balers can give bale starting problems if the edge of the rectangular bar is worn down on the steel starting roller or the forming belts have the treads too worn out.
