Been needing/wanting a trailer for years, just had other needs first. It would be something that"s capable of hauling an old tractor on occasion - heaviest is probably 7000lbs +/-. Will also use trailer for misc hauling of supplies, etc.
Now, I have the opportunity through a project I am doing to get for free 3 axles and the tongue that will be coming off a trailer - like a mobile unit/home/job trailer. Looks like it weighs around 50,000lbs. Haven"t seen the axles yet.
I"m not a welder. I would have someone (dunno who yet) build the trailer, probably tandem axle.
I would be using a 3/4 ton p/u to tow. Probably use the trailer 6 times a year, more or less.
So, anyone done this before? would it be worth it? What to watch for, etc.
