I have tried graphite paint but it wore off quickly. Last fall when I was done with the mowers I cleaned them good and put on a coat of Fluid Film. I did a Internet search and got a number off hits saying the stuff works good on the bottom of decks. I have used it for 20 years on other things, that wool lanolin has a weird way of creeping into the pores off steel for as thick as it is. Mark
