The only one the wife and I ever bought new was in 1981,a few months before our oldest son was born. I wore the darned thing out and traded it off 8 years ago without discussing it with anybody. Boy,did the wife and kids ever make me feel like crap for getting rid of that! "We bought that tractor new together" "That was the one we learned to drive on" Believe me,I heard a bunch of'em. Couldn't sleep for a month for the guilt. I keep my eyes open when there's one like it on an auction,checking the serial number. Guess if I ever get the chance,I'd better buy it back.
