I'm glad to hear all made it out ok with only minor damage considering the alternatives.
I had a friend, Jerry that was a volunteer fireman until he got too old and hung up the helmet for good. He was a little over ambitious when it came to fighting fires. If it was a shed fire out back, he would kick in the front door and turn on the hose from the time he entered, all the way through the house and out back to the shed. If it was a grease fire on a kitchen counter, he went through the roof with an axe, through the ceiling, and down to the kitchen. Great guy, but when folks used to call the station (before 9-1-1), they used to say "...and please don't bring Jerry with you...".
