I agree it wasn't much of an accident. More of an accident waiting to happen. Of course with a gun it's often fatal if kids find it. I also wouldn't say the gun or the ammo were very hidden. It is very tragic but I think the dad could be in a lot of trouble. He was careless leaving the gun and ammo where the kids could find it. If he wasn't home, the gun shouldn't have been left where it was. I bet the kids didn't find it by accident and knew it was there for a while. Having the gun and trying to keep it secret from the kids is one of the worst things to do. Look what happened. The dad probably feels horrible and he should! It was his fault on several levels. Dave
