Winter of '68 I was at WSU- too much snow to make it home on the coast for semester break, so went to my girlfriend's house at St. John (every cloud has a silver lining, you know). Spent a couple days with GF's dad and brother, shovelling snow off rooftops in town. Mostly old folks, all manner of goodies and hot chocolate at every house. I was a pretty good hand in those days, and it sure endeared me to the family- but unfortunately, not to her!
