My dad and I took some of our lambs to slaughter yesterday. Spent the morning with the butcher watching - it was an experience to say the least (these were the first lambs I'd ever taken to slaughter).
It's tough to watch them die but I sure will feel a lot better about what I'm eating when they make their way back onto my plate. They were fine waiting in the truck as we took them off one by one. None of them made a noise while waiting until there was only one left, I felt bad for him.
