Anybody know how to read the date code on a Subaru-branded battery?
Just picked up a 2002 Subaru Impreza and it has an OEM-type Subaru battery. I'm hoping it's not the original (which would be over 8 years old). Battery is working fine, but if it's original, I want to replace it before I have trouble, and not after.
Code on it is - 7H15BM9E
One of those numbers - hopefully is the year of production, but different battery companies have different codes. Anybody happen to know? I'm hoping maybe that first number "7" stands for 2007?
