Got woke up the other night to a bat flying around the bedroom. I see where they are coming out of the roof where one pitch meets the other roof. So I think if I wait till they are all out then plug the gap so they can't get back in should take care of the problem. Couple of questions: What is the best way to plug the gap, silicone? or do I need to use steel wool. Are the bats going to go somewhere else or are they just going to find another crack in my roof and crawl in? 40 years ago I would have just hung a bucket of water by the hole and took care of the problem for good,but think I'm getting soft in my old age.
