True,but just depends on where you were. They were a stripped down machine made to sell cheap for a chore tractor for dairy farms and such. Supposed to be the power of a 4020 at a 3020 price or some such thing. Kind of a popular thing to do at the time. I don't remember if it was a 1750 or 1755 Oliver that was being stripped down at about the same time. Had pressed steel wheels instead of cast and other missing options. Seems to me the Clover White parts were light brown or something on those.
So given why the 4000 Deeres were made,I'd think a power shift and LP gas would be quite a rare bird.
